Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery

Cosmetic eyelid surgery can help you feel young again

Cosmetic eyelid surgery, also referred to as blepharoplasty, corrects unappealing eyelid features and improves appearance. This is typically accomplished by the removal (or re-positioning) of excess fat and skin. Reinforcement of supporting tendons and muscles also can be done. These procedures will help your eyes look more youthful.

The Initial Consultation

In advance of your surgery, I will meet with you and go over your goals for the procedure. I will help you decide on a procedure based on factors such as the structure of your eyebrows and the amount of excess skin and fat around your eyes.

You will need to supply complete medical records. Include your surgical history, any allergies, and chronic health issues. Conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure can affect the outcome of your procedure. We want your cosmetic eye surgery to be free of pain and complications.

During the Procedure

As the surgery commences, I will use sedation to ensure your comfort. Your vitals and statistics will be monitored throughout the surgery. My staff will then keep you under observation until you’re ready to leave. Your vision may blur after the procedure due to the ointment used to protect your eyes and deal with swelling.

After the cosmetic eyelid surgery, you should plan on taking it easy for a few days.

Why Get Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery?
