Instructions

Like most other surgeries, oral surgery often inspired feelings of nervousness and anticipation. Although this is normal, one of the best ways to ease this sense of anxiety is with an understanding of what is needed to prepare for the procedure you will be receiving. You’re in the best hands with Drs. Baker and Jepsen, but you are also an important part of your care team.

Your specialty is taking good care of yourself when you receive oral surgery care so that you can have a quick recovery and less risk for complications! It is important that you follow the proper self-care guidelines both before and after your oral surgery.

You will receive detailed pre- and post-operative instructions tailored to your individual treatment so that you have a smooth treatment process and recovery. For convenience, we also include an overview of guidelines here: the general pre-operative instructions will help you prepare for surgery, and the general post-operative instructions will be more specific to your procedure and will provide instructions for your care once you return home after your procedure.

Always feel free to contact either of our locations in Pocatello and Blackfoot, with any questions you may have, including questions about pre- and post-operative care. If anything is unclear to you, our knowledgeable staff is happy to guide you.
